Petronas will continue to increase its exposure to China's natural gas market

Petronas LNG Marketing and Trading (hereinafter referred to as Petronas LNG) Vice President Shen Shanrui said in an interview with Interface News and other media that over the next four years, Petronas will identify more than 5 million tons of liquefied natural gas projects to be commissioned.

China imported more than 63.44 million tons of LNG last year, according to Chinese customs data. Among them, LNG imports from Malaysia exceeded 7.36 million tons, accounting for 22% of Malaysia's total LNG production, accounting for 12% of China's total imports, second only to Australia's 34% and Qatar's 25%.
